Erasmus+ staff training and teaching mobility
Erasmus+ staff training and teaching mobility is an initiative within the Erasmus+ program that provides opportunities for higher education staff, including both academic and administrative personnel, to pursue professional development in other Erasmus+ program countries and partner countries. The aim of this mobility is to promote staff professional development by facilitating the exchange of experiences, the transfer of knowledge, and the establishment of international contacts and collaboration networks.
Participating in mobility programs allows staff to share best practices, enrich their teaching methods, and build lasting international networks. These interactions not only improve the educational environment within their own institutions but also contribute to a more interconnected global academic community.
Individuals can apply for Erasmus+ Staff Training or Teaching Mobility at any time. To participate in these mobility opportunities, RISEBA staff and lecturers must have a valid employment contract with the university.
Erasmus Blended Intensive Programmes (BIP) are Erasmus+ activities that provide students and teachers the opportunity to participate in short, intensive study programs that use innovative teaching methods. These programs combine short-term physical mobility with a virtual component, which takes place before or after the in-person sessions. This format enables students and staff to enhance their knowledge and gain international experience, even if they are unable to participate in long-term mobility.
- The physical mobility duration can range from 5 to 30 days.
- There is no minimum or maximum limit for the virtual component.
- Participants are awarded 3 ECTS credits for the mobility period.

Institution: Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya
Period: 17.07.2023 – 21.07.2023
Overview of our experience in India, where we visited Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya. This was a great opportunity to explore various practices related to stress management, educational process organization, and international cooperation. During the visit, we had the chance to gain deeper insights into the local culture as well as educational approaches that help improve student well-being.
The main objectives of the mobility were:
Best practices in stress management – to explore and exchange experience in stress management practices that can be integrated into our academic process.
Establishing international contacts – to strengthen cooperation between “Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya” and RISEBA University, aiming to develop joint projects on the role of technology in modernizing the education system.
Promoting student well-being – to discuss and develop ideas on the use of technology in the learning process to enhance students’ psychological and physical well-being.
During our visit, we focused on the following key topics:
- Stress Management.
Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya offers innovative approaches to managing stress, encompassing both academic and daily life aspects. We participated in several practical sessions dedicated to stress management and relaxation techniques, focusing on fundamental methods related to meditation practices.
- Exploring Student Experience.
We gained insight into the learning process of students at Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya and evaluated their experiences to better understand their academic and personal development, which could be beneficial for our own students.
- Holistic Approach to Education.
At Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya, special attention is given to a holistic approach to student education. The curriculum is structured to combine academic content with practical activities and personal development. Great importance is placed on meditation and yoga practices, which help students manage stress and improve concentration. These practices are integrated into the daily academic schedule, thus supporting the psychological and emotional well-being of students.
- Personalized Learning Methods.
The teaching methodology emphasizes a personalized approach: each student is provided with individual support from academic mentors to ensure continuous progress aligned with their personal goals. Technology integration is used to complement traditional teaching methods, such as utilizing digital platforms and online resources accessible to all students, regardless of their physical location.
In our discussions, we explored how these methods could be adapted and integrated into our own university, RISEBA, to promote a balanced and stress-reduced learning environment for our students.
- Developing International Collaboration.
We initiated discussions on potential cooperation in the field of international projects, particularly related to integrating technology into the learning process in healthier and more student-friendly ways.

Additional Value
This experience provided several additional benefits. First, it helped us gain a deeper understanding of Indian culture and the specific characteristics of their educational system. Second, it fostered the establishment of new connections, which could serve as a foundation for future joint projects and research collaborations. Third, the stress management practices we learned during the visit will be valuable in our work at RISEBA University.

Institution: – Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences (Erasmus kods: SF HELSINK40)
Period: 23.04.2024 – 26.04.2024
I chose this program because it offered a wide range of activities for communication development, understanding other countries’ cultures, enhancing English language skills, and seeking new collaboration partners.
The training covered all aspects of the field, including well-established and the latest concepts, providing a practical perspective on changes in today’s world. I chose the Quality Management module.
Both collaborating universities have developed strategies, with RISEBA aiming for 2027 and Haaga-Helia for 2030. As employees of the collaborating universities who know each other better, we can facilitate the implementation of these strategies in practice.
Participation in the program allowed me to learn more about how Haaga-Helia develops its services, as well as about pedagogy and research at Haaga-Helia.
Several group works with presentations were organized, along with presentations of our universities and sharing of experiences. The program also included getting to know Finnish culture. Throughout the week, in addition to working at the university, there was active communication among group members in the WhatsApp group created for this purpose.
The experience definitely strengthens the future collaboration of our universities. During the International Week, contacts with other partner universities were activated, whose representatives were also participants in the event.
I definitely recommend taking advantage of Erasmus+ opportunities to enhance your competence, promote your university, and establish contacts.

Lecturer, Faculty of Architecture and Design
Business, Arts, and Technology University “RISEBA”

Host Institution: Spain, CEU Cardenal Herrera University, School of Design, Architecture and Engineering (ESET)
Duration: 5 days
I believe that staff development and well-being are key to effective teaching. I always enjoy observing how my colleagues work, learning from them, and drawing inspiration from different cultures.
The main goal of the mobility was to participate in the international architecture workshop “ConnectA 2024.” This workshop was organized in collaboration with our partners: CEU Cardenal Herrera University (ES) and Krakow University of Technology (PL) under the ERASMUS BIP program. Over five days, students worked on a specific architectural design task, which was ultimately evaluated by an international jury. The mobility strengthened international relations among all three universities, providing students with the opportunity to engage in an international environment, meet foreign students, and interact with new instructors. The aim was to introduce students to the partner university and new educators, thereby broadening their perspective as emerging architects.
The collaboration was very successful; the host university was highly professional and prepared a comprehensive program for our participants, which included various educational activities for students and faculty, such as international workshops, excursions, social events, and lectures.
One of the professional gains I would like to highlight is the establishment of international relations between universities. In this case, we strengthened our long-standing relationship with the CEU Cardenal Herrera University’s Faculty of Architecture and gained a new partner in Krakow University of Technology, with which we are currently collaborating on another international project.
Personal benefits include visiting other universities and architecture faculties, communicating with industry professionals, and experiencing new cultures. These gains enrich my experience and competence.
Mobility promotes collaboration among higher education institutions involved in the BIP program, enhances visibility, and provides opportunities for students and faculty to develop abroad.
In this mobility, we traveled as a large group, with over 30 participants. The biggest challenges were managing all the necessary documentation.
I would definitely recommend taking advantage of mobility opportunities through Erasmus +, as it is very convenient and straightforward.
